Spring in Japan just wouldn’t be spring without the beautiful cherry blossoms that appear throughout the archipelago. During this period, most people will go “cherry-blossom viewing” or o-hana mi whenever they get the chance; sometimes just taking a stroll through a nearby park and drinking sake beneath the blossoms as the petals scatter, sometimes traveling to see some of the most remarkable sakura in Japan.
One 2ch netizen decided to go to Hirosaki in Aomori Prefecture, an area well known for the beauty of its blossoms. Then they shared the stunning photographs of their trip online for all to enjoy.

[Cherry Blossom Viewing] Photographs Of Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival
Seems like they’re going to start construction there that will take ten years or something so I went.
At the nishibori
There are boats that you can take
and there is a road called “cherry blossom tunnel”.
The scene you can see from this bridge at the Nishibori is splendid.
This is the scene.
I’m not good at taking photos, but if you actually see it it’s amazing.
Woooow, beautiful.
Cherry blossoms taken from a slight upward angle.
They say that the cherry blossoms at Hirosaki have lots of buds and so there is a lot of volume.
What camera do you use?
Ah yeah, the exif is deleted.
The camera is a SONY a55.
But I really really want an a99.
I kinda like the composition of these.
The blossoms are beautiful, but in Aomori prefecture it’s great that the sky is also so blue!
I was glad the weather was good.
Last year the weather was bad plus the blossoms had been eaten by the birds, so it seems like it was really bad…
This is Hirosaki Castle.
These are the oldest Yoshino cherries in Japan.
I forgot to take a picture of the sign, so I’ve forgotten exactly when they’re from.
Japan’s oldest Yoshino cherries at night.
The widest Yoshino cherry tree in Japan.
They say the circumference of the trunk is 537cm.
I wonder how that compares to the width of other types of trees.
The outer moat.
At the time you took a photograph you think it’ll come out well, but then it’s often the case that it doesn’t turn out like that when you look at it on your computer, you know?
A carpet of cherry blossoms.
It’s a bit early to see the full carpet.
A few night pictures
There aren’t any others there I think I can upload, so I’ll end here.
Good job. Pleased my eyes.
Good job.
They’re great. Nice one.
This is where I’m from ww Number of people there increases only for the cherry blossoms and the dummy boat festival.

The cherry blossoms at Hirosaki Castle are really beautiful.
This is a place I’d like to visit again.
These photos are so shit LMFAO.
I’d like to go there some time.
Right now I can’t leave my grandmother, so I’m happy I could see these photographs (´
I just love the combination of the clear sky and the cherry blossoms, so I’m happy.
I lived there when I was in high school, but no matter how many times you see this it really is beautiful (*´∀`*)
Beautiful…that’s what I call cherry blossoms. That’s what I call Japan.
Someday I want to meet the cherry blossom front [ie where the first blossoms appear, usually in the South] and travel Northward through Japan.
So beautiful. I live further north and because it’s too cold there are only mountain blossoms with their remarkable leaves and the small Chishima blossoms here, so you rarely get to see actually Yoshino blossoms, but they really are spectacular, I’m really jealous.
Is this Eden?
This year I couldn’t see enough cherry blossoms, so I’m really thankful for these pictures.
I’m from there, but when people upload pictures like this for us I’m happy.
The blossoms came early this year 〜

I’m also from Aomori Prefecture, but there are so many blossoms this year I was surprised.
I got an e-mail from my parents too, saying that the blossoms at home were also in full bloom and so I really wanted to go home (´;ω;`)
I got the Nihonkai Express train, but I was really sad that I couldn’t use the Golden Week homecoming plan for cherry blossom viewing [a special ticket for going home during the golden week holiday].
